SPL-FOC1SFP1G-1RJ45) links a copper Ethernet segment to a fiber link. It has one 10\/100\/1000Base-TX RJ45 port and one 1000Base-X SFP slot, so the same unit works with single-mode or multimode fiber once the matching 1.25G SFP is fitted.<\/p>\n<p>Use it to extend a LAN, CCTV or access network beyond the 100 m copper limit, to connect a remote switch or camera cabinet, or to drop fiber into an existing RJ45 network without replacing the switch.<\/p>\n<p>Key points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ports: 1\u00d7 RJ45 10\/100\/1000 Mbps and 1\u00d7 SFP slot (1000Base-X). SFP module sold separately.<\/li>\n<li>Copper: up to 100 m on Cat5e or Cat6 UTP\/FTP. Auto-negotiation and Auto MDI\/MDIX.<\/li>\n<li>Fiber: distance and wavelength set by the SFP \u2014 typically 550 m on multimode (850 nm SX) or 10\u201320 km on single-mode (1310 nm LX), and further with long-reach modules.<\/li>\n<li>Standards: IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3z.
